Team Goals: All of these Patriots and Saints will be successful as they strive to be consistent with their play on the tennis court. Looking forward to an enjoyable season where each student-athlete is determined to improve on their individual game. This enthusiastic team will have fun playing this lifelong sport of tennis and represent their families well.
Last Season: Finished 4th in STAC West division.

Corning Hawks (Class A)
Head Coach: Tim Ball, 20th year

Team Goals: We're looking for a lot of success here in Corning. We only had two regular season losses, both to Ithaca, so we’re looking to turn that around this year while still having success against the rest of our opponents. We have a lot of new players, so we’re looking to get them in the starting lineup as well during the season.
Last Season: Finished 2nd in STAC West division. Alex Peng/Nathan Sheng lost in the Round of 32 at the NYSPHSAA Doubles State Championship.

Elmira Express (Class A)
Head Coach: Opal Golden, 1st year
Key Players: All players are playing for the first time.
Team Goals: Learn the game and become competitive.
Last Season: Did not field a varsity team.

Horseheads Blue Raiders (Class A)
Head Coach: Dustin McCullough, 4th year
Key Players: Ryan Burnes (jr.), Dom Wood (fresh.), Hayden Chatlani (jr.), Zach Kathan (jr.)
Team Goals: Change the narrative about Horseheads tennis. When the previous coach left, it was the year we all were home for COVID. The program began to lack numbers, but is on the rise. Beginning to have more and more returners each year starting at a younger age. Excited to see what the future holds for us.
Last Season: Finished 3rd in STAC West division.

Ithaca Little Red (Class A)
Head Coach: Helen Evans, 1st year (4th overall)
Key Players: Aiden Xie (8th grade from DeWitt Middle School), Jonah Jacobstein (soph.), Kieran Shulman (sr.), Eh Lay Htoo (jr.)
Team Goals: Successfully defend our 2023 STAC Championship and send players to States again this year. In addition to this, our goals are to improve all 22 players, build friendships, and have lots of fun all season long.
Last Season: Won STAC West division. Defeated Susquehanna Valley in Semi-final and Chenango Forks to win STAC Championship. Won Section IV Class A Championship. Won Section IV Division 1 Team Tennis Championship. Lost to Scarsdale at NYSPHSAA Division 1 Team Tennis Regional Final. David Riccio won Section IV Class A Singles Championship. Riccio advanced to the Round of 16 at the NYSPHSAA Singles State Championship. Andrew Brown lost in the Round of 32 at the NYSPHSAA Singles State Championship. Liubov Kryshchuk/Aiden Xie won Section IV Class A Doubles Championship. Jasper Agarwal/Lyndon Hess and Kryshchuk/Xie both lost in the Round of 32 at the NYSPHSAA Doubles State Championship.

Metro
Johnson City Wildcats (Class B)

Head Coach: Ryan Cummings, 3rd year (11th overall)
Key Players: Jordan Hamdan (sr.), Paul Johnson (sr.), Ian Perry (sr.), Anthony Mazzati (jr.), Zach Taylor (soph.), Matthew Goldstone (jr.)
Team Goals: We have a well-balanced mix of experienced veterans and beginning players. The team, after a three-year ramp-up phase, is maturing and competitively postured. We hope for our best season yet!
Last Season: Finished 4th in STAC Metro division. Jordan Hamdan won Section IV Class B Singles Championship.

Maine-Endwell Spartans (Class B)
Head Coach: Bill Underwood, 2nd year

Team Goals: Look for a winning season in our very competitive STAC Metro division and to repeat as Section IV Class B champions.
Last Season: Finished 3rd in STAC Metro division. Won Section IV Class B Championship.

Union-Endicott Tigers (Class B)
Head Coach: Steve Tibensky, 18th year

Team Goals: Improve each day and compete for the STAC Metro and Section IV Class B titles. With seven starters back from an 8-4 team, we hope to be competitive in every match. This is the largest U-E boys tennis team in years. Developing the newcomers will be a top priority.
Last Season: Won STAC Metro division. Lost to Chenango Forks in STAC Semi-final.

Vestal Golden Bears (Class B)
Head Coach: Justin Barnes, 1st year

Team Goals: Win a STAC Championship and have fun while doing it.
Last Season: Finished 2nd in STAC Metro division. Sriram Chakravadhanula/Adi Banerjee won Section IV Class B Doubles Championship.

Central
Chenango Forks Blue Devils (Class C - East)

Head Coach: Jarod McMullen, 16th year

Team Goals: Win the STAC Central division, Section IV Class C, STAC, and Section IV Team Championships.
Last Season: Won STAC Central division. Defeated Union-Endicott in Semi-final, lost to Ithaca in STAC Championship. Won Section IV Class C Championship. Defeated Lansing in Semi-final, lost to Delhi in Section IV Division II Team Tennis Championship.

Chenango Valley Warriors (Class C - East)
Head Coach: Terry Price, 15th year (38th overall)
Key Players: Kainoa Tang-Chung (7th grade), Owen Stafford (fresh.), Aaron Miller (soph.)
Team Goals: Meet and exceed individual goals, be in contention for the STAC Central division title, play good tennis, and improve skill level and tennis strategies throughout the season.
Last Season: Finished 2nd in STAC Central division.

Owego River Hawks (Class B)
Head Coach: Erica Haray, 7th year (8th overall)

Team Goals: Our program goals always include coaching through the lens of teaching our players a life-long sport and encouraging the love of the game and good sportsmanship. As a team, our goals include placing at the Section IV Class B sectionals and competing at the NYS Qualifier. Our team also gets to enjoy our new tennis courts this season, with new team dugouts. We are very grateful to our community for them! Let’s go River Hawks!

Waverly Wolverines (Class C - West)
Head Coach: Ron Chamberlain, 2nd year (11th overall)

Team Goals: Develop and improve our individual and team game play, along with always being competitive in our matches, and practicing good sportsmanship.
Last Season: Competed in Interscholastic Athletic Conference (IAC).

East
Norwich Purple Tornado (Class B)

Head Coach: Wendy Tubbert-Swingle, 4th year

Team Goals: Have a winning season this year and place in the top five in our class. But, we are also building our roster back up as we lost five seniors.
Last Season: Finished 3rd in STAC East division.

Oneonta Yellowjackets (Class C - East)
Head Coach: Gary Segal, 1st year

Team Goals: Improve conditioning and flexibility, footwork, mental strength, teamwork, and strategy.
Last Season: Finished 2nd in STAC East division.

Susquehanna Valley Sabers (Class C - East)
Head Coach: Anthony Ruffo, 13th year (19th overall)
Key Players: Isaac Spottek (sr.)
Team Goals: Win the STAC East division title for the third consecutive season. Win the Section IV Class C overall title. Represent Section IV as the Division 2 team champion.
Last Season: Won STAC East division. Lost to Ithaca in STAC Semi-final. Isaac Spottek won Section IV Class C-D East-West Singles Championship. Spottek lost in the Round of 32 at the NYSPHSAA Singles State Championship.

Windsor Black Knights (Class C - East)
Head Coach: Bill Mirch, 2nd year
Key Players: Derrick Chen (soph.), Julian Holdrege (7th grade), Caeden VanZandt (sr.)
Team Goals: Last year, we did not win a match. We want to try and win at least two matches this year.
Last Season: Finished 4th in STAC East division.
