Metro
Johnson City Wildcats (Class B)

Head Coach: Ryan Cummings, 2nd year (10th overall)
Key Players: Jordan Hamdan (jr.)
Team Goals: Each player on the team has been tasked with furthering their capabilities in the four core components of player development: technical, tactical, physical, and mental skills. For new players who have never played before, an example would be to become familiar with the proper grips, stances, and mechanics of each groundstroke, volley, overhead, and serve, as well as the phases of striking involved with each. In contrast, more tenured players who are proficient in their technical skills are tasked at working on their tactical skills; this could be understanding patterns of play, improving shot selection (discerning when to play defense, offense, and neutral strikes in relation to the differing court zones) and shot tolerance. In short, the team as a whole isn't tasked with winning; the goals are to do the small things right. The goals fundamentally are about learning, unlearning, relearning and ultimately, the pursuit of perfection.
